reserpine empties the synaptic endings from NTs so there is not any DOPAMINE LEFT

reserpine irreversibly bind to storage vesicles of neurotransmitters such as dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotoni, reserpine has a peripheral action in many parts of the body, resulting in a preponderance of the cholinergic part of the nervous system
Reserpine almost irreversibly blocks the uptake (and storage) of norepinephrine ( noradrenaline) and dopamine into synaptic vesicles by inhibiting the Vesicular Monoamine Transporters
methyl dopa stimulate alpha 2 receptor , inhibiting release of neurotransmitters
