Hey, do not complicate your life with passages like this... This game has rules, but you do not look like you want to obey them...

DO NOT apply until you make clear for yourself if you take CS or not... Compete fairly, and let other people compete fairly as well!!!

DO NOT flood programs with your incomplete application just because you yourself do not want to make it complete as soon as possible... If you have plans to withdraw yourself later on, do this rather NOW!!!

DO NOT take someone's interview chances!!!

I don't think people keep a list of candidates who cancelled ivs, so next year they don't call them as a revenge, but I agree with Justice: why waste other people's time and chances? Either you want to go for it or not, decide and do what it takes. nod

yes,I understand streesful situation you are but it is pre mature jugment.is it against rules if I am worried about something unexcepred and I want to know about it in advance????,it is my right to know about every possibilities ..I am pretty sure ,many applicants for diffrent reasons are in the same situation ,nobody wants to take chance from other applicants intentionaly ...we are in the same boat ...do not preach please.nod

you have even right to refuse and change your position during residency for any reason ..is it against rules? or is it your right ? please ,answer ...!

please ,read visa section in this forum ...many people got matched but could not appear for residency...do they act against rules? do they ignore the rules of game?!!! raised eyebrow

thanks.

I wouldn´t think it´s against the rules.
Just my advice: make clear for you first if you want to take CS by 12/31. If so, apply. If not, save yourself some money buddy....

donot know where has the question of taking away chance even arise, incomplete applications get rejected outright, whose got energy, time and patience to even look at people who are not prepared, forget about getting IVs,even 99ers are not getting IV call, so what to talk of incomplete application.rolling eyes

some programs give you IVs even without ECFMG certification but finally you should be certified by march 21th .incomplete means...not been certified by march while you had a few interivews.

it is not impossible to get IVs without certifcation but almost impossible to get position.
