im currently a final year student...ok, i will explain a bit more in detail...im a Myanmar citizen studying in Ukraine...the situation is that after i graduate, i have no where to go...that means that i cant work in Ukraine (must be Ukranian to practice in Ukraine), i dont wanna go back to Myanmar either (not even sure the government is gonna accept my MD)...in order to finish all the steps, its gonna take some time(like a year to two)....so what am i suppose to do after i graduate? spend another one or two year sitting for steps and wait for the match? that does not sound right to me as i must earn too...

im wondering those IMGs, who went to US and still not yet done all the steps, cant practice in US ,rite? so it is more or less like my situation....so what do those IMGs do to earn money during that period????????

im sorry if my question sounds dumb or something like tat but the truth is i really hv no idea about it...
pls help me out guys....

or start preparing for step 1 now, take a kaplan course after you graduate but as you're in your final year, buy the home based kaplan review and read it, with First AID (FA), do USMLE world, NBME, and kaplan bank questions, goljan for pathology and FA and then take the kaplan course after you graduate and write step 1 two weeks after the kaplan review or when NBME shows that you can pass step 1

You can work any job here if you have visa?! Customer service? Stores etc..

You can also apply for reserach assistant position at the University or ptivates reserach sites...You can go to phlebotomy vocational school and in like three weeks and 2000 dollars, you can work as phlebotomist. Night shifts, weekend shift are paid good.

Or medical assitant in doctor's offices maybe?

Or even start from answering phones in doctor's offices....

and prepare for USMLE in the meantime.
