So I received my score today 164/65. I deserved it. Never had a plan. I did USMLE world and was getting 40% throughout unused random and didn't read the answers. Didn't use this site and only started reading this site after writing Step 1 on July 31st 2008.

I didn't finish the whole kaplan lectures and would fall asleep during live lectures because some lecturers were soooo boring. After 5 minutes of what the lecturer would say, I would forget what they were talking about and just feel totally lost because you need to understand everything to get the whole concept down. So live lecture was a complete waste. Even when prereading, I would fall asleep.

So I'm going to start a journal. I'm kicked out of medical school, so I need to reapply to be readmitted. Was already kicked out once for not writing step 1 within a specific time frame. They only gave me one chance to write step 1 after being readmitted. First of all, I need to exercise, get rid of all this fat I've accumulated on my body since I entered med's school and this week organize my life and make a plan.

I did well in basic sciences, and was too confident since all my classmates have passed and was like if they could do it, then I could too!!! But one difference was, they could sit there and study for hours. God please allow me to focus on medicine and have the ability to remain in one place and the ability to concentrate. I want to help my fellow humans in diagnosing and treating. I want to discover new medical innovative technologies one day and without an MD I would not have the credentials to back up what I am saying. I want to master the knowledge of medicine. I will relearn this material and any other medical concepts I may have misinterpreted and not had learnt properly. I ask the Great Architect of the Universe to allow me to retain this information to the best of my ability so that I may be successful on obtaining the highest mark I can achieve on USMLE step 1.

I will never give up.

Hey!! Good start, best thing u can do and the most difficult to do is accepting what we have done wrong but u've already done that so that is a victory in itself.

next step u have all the material make a plan and try to stick to it. u will like every one else have good and bad days but all sai d and done never lose focus of u r goal.

log in daily. write out what ever prob u have some one or the other is bound to have some advice or solution to u r prob.

all of us in this forum are in it together, we all have one goal.

So get set and GO. Goodluck.

thanks mjbapana, usmlekiller and pursuit.

Today I'm going to organize my life. Get my barbells from the basement and make a workout exercise plan. Then get all my scattered USMLE material and organize what I'm going to study and do everyday. I give myself one week to get this all done.

Yesterday listened to 18 minutes of goljan lecture 1 day 1.

I'm going to make a facebook account and start a journal on there on my USMLE journey to a 250+ and a transformation of my fat body into a fit, healthy human I used to be back in the days.
