Hello fellas....
I have a question regarding IMand FM Residency Programs in state of Illinois...I have read somewhere that we need some sort of extra credits(hours) in some specialties during our med school in order to qualify as an applicant for residency programs....please tell me what are they?are they for all programs or just some? do you guys have the name of the programs that have that kind of requirements?I have everything else ready and expecting my ECFMG certificate in mid september..(mid 80s scores all first attempts)...grad year 2005 and no visa issues...Just confused about those programs in Illinois.I would really appreciate if someone will help me out with this one so that I don't have to shoot in the dark while applying...thank you so much in advance.....and you guys have a good luck for 2009 match.smiling face

yeah....i was about to post this question...some of the websites say they require 4 weeks of psyche postings..i had only 2 weeks...the programs wh r asking for 4 weeks of psyche are
1)Advocate Lutheran General Hospital Program,Park ridge

2)Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center/North Side Health Network ProgramChicago

3)University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago/Advocate Christ Medical Center Program,Oak lawn

and i read sum whr that illinois state board has mandatory 4 weeks psyche posting....so i`m confused wether i should apply to illinois programs or not.....and if i match in illinois can i go back to med school nd do 2 more weeks of rotationgrin
