Hey,I failed step one once,and also I failed the CS.
Am thinking about changing my name and reapply again.
Dose that work? Feed back needed,please....

u cant n should not do that......just think and tell us all why u failed...it will b theraputic to u.Honestly i feel u must not have put in the hours.Be honest with urself and do this only if ur heart is in it,otherwise no point......find something u love or at least like.

come on, u can take steps as many times as u wan, everyone knows it, so wat u take 3 times if u get 90 above in the end ...rite?
anyway, are u IMG? if so, have u done ur housemanship?

Change your name? Your school has to certify you, plus it is illegal, you failed and now like those of us who have also you have to overcome it and understand this is life, you are not a failure, you had difficulties
worry about revising this stuff and get back on track
Get at least the Kaplan videos
Get the review material
Practice on Kaplan or UW
do a couple NBME practice tests.

Hi! I know how frustrating it is..I failed step 1 too. I dunno if I should take it again. Can anyone tell me if I'd still have a chance of getting into a residency program in US if I re-take the exam? I'm an IMG so I know it's gonna be more difficult.

Yes you can get a residency, I know of people who are IMG and faild once and retook and got a residency, I failed twice and going to retake this last time, I know we can get a residency.
Getting a residency is like getting a Job.
There are still unfilled residencies every year I would pick the ones who are having trouble getting people
