hi im and IMG who needs the PTAL (california letter)

In my medical school we didn't have family medicine as a subject... and sadly is requirement for the california letter.

Can i still get a residency with an non perfect letter (with observations)?

It is good to be realistic... PTAL is the state of California requirement, not the program or its director. This means that if you do not qualify for PTAL, you will not be able to get there...

caduceus to the rescue...

if you had psm-preventive and social medicine...it will be counted for family medicine..

I had the same issue but they accepted my Community Medicine rotation for Family Medicine.
