USMLE WORLD Self Assessment??

Hi all! I was browsing UW website adn found these new self -assessment exams there, they state that they are like the NBME exams...anyone had chances to take these exams?? How good are they? Are they good predictors? Well any input is welcome...good luck

I have a thought on them, They are not the NBME, UW can say they are like them, but the NBME are the same who Make the USMLE, so I will stick to them as the Gold standard.

UW are ok for practice but the NBME is more like the real thing.

Just my thought on it! nod

No yeah I would assume that...but anyone that has taken the exam and done those tests find that they were useful?

hi

i have taken them not done them yet but heard from 3 friends that they are very good and the score relation is also good...

go for it if u can..

I've done both, they're very good and have the advantange that they
give you the explanation. But i haven't taken the exam to tell if they're
accurate. Good luck.

I have taken most NBMEs and UW assesment.I think that UW have used many concepts of the NBME tests and some tests are exactly the same,but about the score correlation i have no idea.

several people that I know have taken the UW assesment and the correlation with their scores in the real exam was about + or - 3.
So I will say is prety accurate.

I do not have any investment nor Im getting paid or what ever else from UW, this is just my honest 2 cents.

Wow so they are pretty accurate...that's nice to know...are they easier/harder than the actual UW questions because some of them are tough!!

The qs are different from the uw q bank and the difficult level is almost the same.

most of my friends were within 5 points of their UW assessment scores!! so for instance, one gal was a 219 on UW and a 224 on step...another gal was a 210 on UW and a 205 on step

so based on this information, I took it a couple days before my test and scored a 195 sad

thought i would do so much better! i will get my scores back in a week or two, so let's see what score is and how much it correlates! i hope it's plus 5 for me, because all I need for most of the clinical rotations for my school is a 200!

Good luck aamm....is the test format the same for Step1 now...cause I heard there were some changes also vide/audio q's...anyone had to deal with those?

people say they arent difficult,, u can solve them with q stem itself
