can anyone who recently took the exam tell me how usmleworld compares to the actual exam? Is the actual exam harder? What would be a comfortable score to get on the usmleworld before actually taking the exam? any help would be much appreciated

In my arrogant opinion actual exam is not like any known qbanks.
But it is somehow like nbme self-assessment.
Take a look at exam score thread to find out how is everything correlates.
Good Luck!

I agree with hero, that is all my friends who had taken the actual test told me...UW enrich your mind with many information and the explanations help to consolidate the information by giving you differential diagnoses and explan the differences and the tricks. I recently did NBME after UW, I felt it is more vague and gives you less clues...Something is different about it but I dunno wt it is...I think it is more judgemental and more than knowldge testing..May be!! Overall, I think NBME is the best assesment tool so far.
