Hi bbb,

Is it a good idea to submit 4 lors to programs even if it requires 3 lors???

Thank you so much for your time.

bbb, since you are around... I wonder if you could answer me, please...

1. Are incomplete applicatons downloaded and discarded, or not even downloaded?

2. Once you download the applications, do you receive ERAS updates, such as "new people applied to your program", and "an applicant changed one LOR for another", or you pretty much work with whatever you downloaded already?

Thanks!

Fantastic question Arlete!
Was wondering the same. Would wanna update my application in October with my CS score.
Do the program directors get messages like "an applicant updated an USMLE score" or "an applicant updated the ECFMG certification status to: YES"?
Thanks bbb for your help. I still think it´s awesome that you lived in Stuttgartgrin

1. Once an application is released to a program, we have to download everything in the cue or nothing. We can't pick and choose who or what. It's everything or nothing.

2. Same answer. Everything or nothing.

We don't get messages like that. Think about it - 2000 applications, would be 2000 messages. There are filters that can show me everything that has been uploaded in the last 3 days, or 2 days, etc. There are ways to search for the newly received items that have come in.

Danke Anne - I think it's pretty awesome that I was able to live in Deutschland myself. I might have stayed if the whole visa thing didn't get in my way.

Thank you! Yeah, Germany....
I´m going there myself in about 3 weeks. After a year of being here in the States it will feel good to go home.
But I know that the visa issue is a big one. Just remembering what I went through before I got my GC....
Anyway, thanks againsmiling face

So is it better to have all our documents ready before pushing the applying button, or should we just update scores as they come? I'm saying this because, let's say I get my ECFMG certificate on Sept 21, should I want until then to apply (and that way be considered to programs who require it) or shold I apply Sept 1?
