Same LORS...resubmit??

As somebody who applied for Match 2008, I want to use a few of the same LOR's this time. The problem is ERAS still has my LOR's. I do have copies. Can I send copies stating the originals are still with them??

they never use previous LORS...you have to ask new ones from your LOR writters...I know that sucks...

Can I submit a copy...It is only one letter that I need...I read that they accept copies but they annote it and declare that it's a copy...

ERAS do not have copies of the LORs you sent them for 2008 season. They were discarded. The only stuff staying with them is MSPE and transcript + photo.

Can we send copies of the same letter and have them annote it as a copy? They still have my original, what do they do with those? Do they throw them away? It will be very difficult for me to get a letter from the same person cause it is an international LOR.

Chicogodoc, they DO NOT have originals of your LORs. If the LOR was not waived, you could request it back via ROD mechanism. If it was, then they thew it away as soon as they closed ERAS post office after match 2008 season, in May of 2008. It is inaffordable luxury to keep papers from thousands of applicants. Whether or not you can send unnotarized copy of the LOR again - I do not know. Call ECFMG and ask them.

same thing happened with me i submitted my lors last year and didnt used RODs service i wanted to reuse them thisa year then i called ECFMG they said all the lors are destroyed on june 9th. they onley keep MSPE and transcripts

im too in a similar situation trying to get new lors from US
or i ll submitt the photcopies but i know they wont be of use coz they are old 3yr back
