In this test a colorless dye is phagocytosed by neutrophils is converted to a colored dye if superoxide is produced. Which test is it and what is it for?

Nitro-blue tetrazolium test (NBT), used to diagnose chronic granulomatous disease.

In this disease, the neutrophils are unable to generate the necessary oxidative species used for bactericidal activity. NADPH oxidase is the deficienct enzyme.

What is the inheritance of this disease? What are the other diseases that share this form of inheritance?

X-LINKED RECESSIVE
DON'T REMEMBER ANY OTHER DZ.

that is right peekay...but, not sure if there are any other WBC diseases that are x-linked recessive.

Other non-WBC diseases that are x-linked recess.:

Duchenne Muscular Distrophy, G6PD, Hemophilia A & B, Lesch Nylan, Fabry's, and Hunter's

From my knowledge CGD is the only one.

Bruton's and Wiskott-Aldrich (I think...not sure if W-A is recessive...?)
