Hi I plan to apply for pathology programs. but I heard that pathology become hotter and hotter, is that true ? my brief background: graduation year is 12 years 90+/90+ USMLE score, Ph.d in Cell and molecular biology from a world-renowned european medical school. good publication records harvard postdoc. Supporting letter : one from American surgeon, 2 from american pathologists some US observership experience in pathology Green card Could anybody kindly give any suggestions how big change I could got matched in University pathology program? I am worrying about it. Many thanks in advance

Hi jnjose, Welcome to join the forum. Most Path programs are university-based so if you match, it's very likely to be a univ program. You have good credentials. I don't see a problem if you just want to match.

but do you think that the graduation years is important for pathology ? this is my weak point. Thanks for advices.

I guess it all depends on the programs and your overall package. It can be a problem for some programs but probably not for all. I know a couple of people from my med sch who got into top 10 programs (not pathology) 7-9 years after graduation from med sch (all have PhDs from US sch and awesome publications). But I personally don't know anybody in your situation.
