1. I didn't counsel during history because it sounds judgemental and inhibits the patient to say "yes" for the other questions. Every time I praised, I did right away, every time I counseled, I did at the end. But it's better doing (no matter when) than forgetting it. 2. First ask how he feels about it, what are his concerns (check the situation), then if he ever expressed all these to the son (probably not), tell him to talk to him. Offer a psychologist service to help him to deal with the situation and tell him his acceptance and love is very important for the son, so you want to help in whatever way you can. Offer to talk to the son, if he thinks he needs.

actually there are no hard and fast rules, you can do any time, but i think since there are 12 cases serially that you'll interveiw, there would be a lot of mixing up of info, so finishing up there and then would not leave you not done at all coz positive replies are meant to be addressed, regarding second i'm not too sure ,need ideas, may be then i may add a little ,take care

welcome, good even i got the idea about your second query thru Arlete,so you can tell that sexual preferences of his son is something he cannot change by his objecting or getting depressed, and rather he will affect his health by worrying over the things he have no control, or something like that

1st you let SP know that you'll be making few notes of the interveiw, then ask if its ok,and then you can, if you dont it'll be difficult to write PN negative in CIS is not doing atall, since theres avery good chance you will forget, so better do it there and then!!!! do it in an non judgemental manner, or do partly and make a note of it in blue sheet.
