i read on the forum that people taking there ck exam between 14august to end of september will have results on 8th october. does it mean it doesnt matter if i took the exam in end of august or end of september- the results will be out on the same date. if any one has called ecfmg let me know- otherwise i will make a call tomorrow.

That is rather interesting.....however i believe that it will never take less than 3 weeks for score reporting......person taking their exam on Sep 30th is not getting their results after 1 week on October 8th.....unless theres some crazy changes going on....You should definitely call and see what they have to say....

from ecfmg site- "The target date for reporting Step 2 CK scores for most examinees testing from mid-August through late September will be Wednesday, October 8, 2008."

Yes, I also thought of the same thing.. But i dont think thats gonna happen.. result in 1 week is very very unlikely..lol.. i think all they mean to say is that for people taking their exam after aug14th, the results may take more than usual, but will be delayed latest till Oct 8th..
But hey, who expected this new format thing.. with ECFMG you never know.. It'd be nice to call ;em up and confirm.. Do let us know what you find out.. thank you!

Call NBME instead of ECFMG, right? They are the one who deals with USMLE.

Yea, NBME deals with all the exam issues.. But as far as IMGs are concerned, they want ECFMG to answer all the queries.. This is my impression because I had sent an e-mail to NBME but I got a reply from ECFMG wherein it said that since I'm an IMG, my e-mail was forwarded to them by NBME..
