Hello BBB,
Thanks for all the help you have been for applicants like me over the years. I have gone over your previous posts, but still would like to ask you this which is causing me great anxiety.
I have Step 1 passed score 257. Step 2 CS passed. USCE (as final yr student). 2007 grad. Medical credentials verified. Need Visa (any visa- for me program is more imp than visa).
But I will take my CK exam sometime in late Aug. Normally that isn't a big problem, but this year with USMLE/NBME changing their software, result would come only on 8th Oct.
My Question is how much of a disadvantage would this be to my application (late CK score (Oct 8th).
Also should I apply on Sept 2 with whatever I have, with CK score updating automatically. Or when do you think I should apply?

sorry for posting this again.....just in case you didnt see this thread. Btw if anyone else had any inputs on this topic (like they know ppl with similar problems last yr), i would appreciate them

I had a friend who applied with step 1 score only and she matched.
I will apply with Step 1 and CK score and then update as soon as I get CS score. I think a lot of people do it.

Apply as soon as you can with as complete of an application as you can. If you put in the dates that you are scheduled or have taken the exam, programs will see that.
