Hi asmi,
I wish u great success in exams. My exam is jus after 3 days. Please tell me if I will get to see the questions somehow close to Kaplans qbank. hmm, why am I asking this? because, thats the only thing I have stressed on as far as solving qs are concerned. Concepts are mostly clear in my mind but I am still not sure in questions which require a lot of memory. Even the HLA related diseases still I tend to forget. Plz help

Yes we are referring to kaplan lecture notes only..i think the same one's which u have.Keep reading...all the best !!!

Regarding practise Q's before exam...i think NBME exams are the best one's ,since they mimick exam Q's a lot.
Also u can take blackwell simulated exam.

Hi asmi!  did u do NBME Q? My step1 is in 2 weeks. And im in a limbo if i have to purchase the $45 NBME Q.If u did, did u see the same Q in the Step1 exam?And around how many? Hope u reply ASAP. Thanks in advance! And God bless! WE know you'll do well

Hi step1taker,
Yes i did take that NBME exams , they are indeed very useful .I found it more useful than kaplan q bank.Since they mimick the exam more closely.

i have some questions if you dont mind, is NBME exam being to take only once or can we take more than once within 20 days durations. My exam is in three weeks. did you complete webpath multiple choice questions. please reply me , i will be greatful...

I would advice u to take NBME a week or two before taking exam .
I don't know much about how many times u can take it .But i think, its as many times as u want to take .
About webpath ,i took the system wise exams may be 4 months before exam.
But don't waste ur time in looking at pictures in webpath...

i have some doubts about NBME exam, they displayed form 1 and form 2 as purchase services for step 1. which one is better or i have to take both form. Please let me know how many questions for form 1 and form 2. Please kindly reply me as soon as possible...

regarding NBME, i think NBME is providing two individual exams ( or form 1and 2) for step 1 in purchase services.
my doubt is which one is better. Each one coutns 45dollars. Is it better to take both. Please reply me. I know you are egalitarian...

i might be bothering you, i forgot to ask you regarding NBME exam.
which one is better in testing mode or standard mode.
how much you scored in both exams. this is just for comparison. i think this is my last question.

I have been a silent watcher of this forum and this forum is helping me a lot in my preparation of step 1.
I have one question that how did you practice to identify various slides or pics (gross and micro pathology slides), CT scans, MRIs etc. As I am not taking Kaplans center prep, I cant see their videos.
Please suggest me any site for all subjects. I saw web path and one anatomy site (givent at the back of FA). Which slides or pics I should see? Only those that are in books, in FA or in Goljans lectures? ( that he was talking about in his audio lectures)
I am taking step 1 on july 30th.
I graduated many years ago. Some times I feel, I cant do it, when I read messages on this forum, I feel I am way behind you all.
When ever i start studying, I cant concentrate for long time, plus my memory is so bad. I need advice!

To be frank , thou there are many websites for neuroanatomy(for CT's and MRI's) , i went through high yiield anatomy books and i think they r the best. Anyways ,i have given 2 sites that i know in my previous posting,may be on first page.
About micro slides...there is a site i know..will forward it to you later,have to look for it .
:idea: don't worry about slides..concentrate on theory.You can have a look at CT's and MRI's , a week before exam and that shall be enough.
:idea: We Doc's have the potential to start studying whenever required.Remember those days as undergraduate student,when you worked so hard .So what if you have got little gap after graduation.It all depends on ur spirit ,high spirit to reach ur goal in life.
:idea: Whenever u feel dull, try to answer or post Q's on this forum.Catch hold anyone as your ideal and try to compete with him/her.Its just to speed up in study,not to take it to heart or disregard others.
