I was just thinking how almost half the posts on here are all just speculation.. You know like.. "Will I pass?" or "How difficult is step 1" or "Is step 1 more difficult than step 2" or "Are they trying it so that less IMGs make it there?" etc etc.. Ofc the killer always is, and the commonest question these days, " What are my chances to get a residency"...! 
Now, I am not saying theres anything bad with such questions, ( 'cept ofcourse it wastes your time and everyone else's  .. But nothing besides that really) and i am not saying that i have never ever asked questions of that sort... Ofc, we all get a bit anxious at some point ( some more than others..)
But wouldnt it be a nice idea to have a separate forum (or a thread) to do that...! One place where you can ask all kinds of useless questions..!! All sorts of pointless discussions... For one, It'd keep the forums clean ( with only the relevant threads) and help avoid burial of some excellent threads...
It would also be a one stop shop for the speculator (read neurotic) in all of us..!!

But you see, hiteshi, for the person who asks, it's not a "useless question" and having someone's question separated to another forum or thread would be a litte offensive, wouldn't it?

i agree with alete... i am not the most senior member out here but i think no question is stupid... if people feel its irrelevant then no body answers it (simple..!) or else give the links to threads with the discussion...
i think it breeds prejudice for us to judge other people's fears and doubts..
the fact that no body makes fun of others intellect is the very reason this forum is popular and i'd like to c it stay this way....
if some thing should be moderated it is the ad and fake spam 'offers'..!!!

I will not call it speculationv, I will call it support forum that clear ur doubts re fr exm to ur life , it's in term of not only will I pass, etc ... also am I too young or too old , marry 1st or exm 1st etc .
Help .. am panicing , exm in ? days  etc
So we already have " Support forum ", no need for another call .. speculation & I really do not think .. here have place for speculation .. all her e r true , own advice, experinces .. other will take it if fit their Qs for solving that situation .
Also here is lounge , we already have so many hot topic that the popular one r already under one thread , so go there browse it & post the qs, or vent or , just for laugh .
I will say it's the best familial wise forum , we get wise , sound advice , also best advice re any thing , not only the exm to residency .
I feel like am back in med school , old good time with good frds, teachers , consultants , etc .. can chat on line off line , here , even voice , become really good family friends .
Everyone is in their best interesrt to help, support each other for the way of success & happy healthy life , to residency with bonus of getting good support re social , family , resources situation too .
Re education , exm advice , we used to openly advice , discuss here than now in not long ago past here .
But with so many tension when come to those hot topics re exm , & related ... most of us , try not to do too open in forum.
But most or all r still talking re the exm, education very open , detail on line chat or voice or mail , some .. most team up studying days in out helping exm takers , get help fr exm done members .. those r another best sign that apart fr become familial friendly in this forum .
Thnx for open up this thread so we can say it's speculation or Not .
So .. what to say .......... no complaint , long live the p4u
