What the DOC for severe HTN ?

according to Kaplan it is "a-Methyl-Dopa" and "Labetalol" and "Atenolol" can substitute it (even with IUGR risk of b-blockers!?)

according to Blueprint methyl-Dopa is old stuff and it advocates "nifedipine" / "labetalol".

which is one is the most current trend?

Thanks!
