I just passed CS. I took it at Phliadelphia center. Many horror stories before i go. I tried to be confident and just reminded myself this exam is standardized so it will be fair. I felt bad , so bad after the exam. All the mistakes I made haunted me till I got the result. I m going to list them so that everyone who made the same can have reassurance. As Artele said, we are not going to be perfect in this exam. Never. 1. I didn't say I am Dr. ..., in one patient. 2. I didn't look inside ear with otoscope in patient with hearing loss. I even said if necessary I will refer her to Specialist. ( Please, never say like that) 3. I didn't finish one case on time. Couldn't do closure. 4. I didn't asked sexual history in two patients with cough. I didn't feel like patients were satisfied with me and my answers to their challenging questions. But I passed. Good luck to everyone.

Nice post, nyimalay. Congrats on passing! I want to add to your post, for other people who are yet to face the test. Ok, I am not going to root for or recommend any particular center. Anyone with common sense [sorry for such a harsh word] will realise that standardised tests are, by definition, well....standardised. Please do not let anyone succeed in spreading rumors or fears that one center is better/worse than another. In fact, most of these posts say the worst about the center. This tends to freak out everyone who plans out on taking the test there. So, I'm going to break the rule and say that I took the test in Philadelphia too. But, The test center was great, the staff were simply awesome [no exageration here] And, I passed as well! And again, don't believe what people say about more fails in a particular center! It takes your focus away from your prep!

Congrats to you both. I passed in Philly too! The staffs and SPs were all nice. I noticed that probably > 2/3 of the examtakers were IMGs on my exam day. Much more than I thought.

Hi Shwe! Regarding accomodation near test center, I know nothing, sorry! Coz I stayed with my brother, who lived ~8 mins walk from the center! Wasn't that cool?! I literally left home at 7.45am on my test day, and was at the test center well before 8am. Perhaps, some of the out-of-city candidates can share info. Of course, if you have any qns regardng anything else, I'm always here! Happy to help.

ShweHope, I am not related to Sandra Oh. I stayed in Windsor Suite in Center City, Philadelphia. I booked it on their Website. Only cost me < $110 a night. It's not very new, but the room was clean, neat, quiet and spacious. Staffs were extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast was conplementary. They stored my luggage for me on the exam day even after I checked out. Center City is 5 min drive from the test center. To me it was a much better place to stay w/ restaurants and stores around. The cab costs $5-7 one way.

Dear Shwe, I stayed at Club Quarters. 120/night. Small room, clean , no breakfast but we can eat at their restaurant or order from nearby restaurants with delivery fees. 10 min drive to test center. We drove there. Parking 15$/day( not per 24 hour) .If you are going to drive your car, do test drive to center before the exam day. There are one way lanes and GPS doesn't work well like in NY. regards, nyimalay
