hi! i have received a call for observership in Cleveland Clinic, Weston, Florida in cardiology for the month of october. I am looking for people who might be interested in sharing a room at that time. I am an indian male 27 yrs old, recent MD. anybody interested kindly reply.

hello fellow indian. can you please tell me that do we have to be ecfmg certified for getting observership in cardio?? IM requires it. i know that. how long does it take for us to know that we got an observership?? what exactly are the criteria for getting one?? scores or first come first served?? did u mention cardio as the only choice or did u mention any backup along with it. thanks a lot. i urgently need the info. tried calling them. only keep hearing a recorded message and they took 3 weeks to reply that observerships in IM are not available. please try to reply if you can.

Hey ripplefire that is one of the most polite replies i have seen. I had applied to cleveland last december and got an acceptance reply within a months time. even then i could manage an observership only in october. i guess things will be a lot tougher if u are trying for residency this year, but dont lose heart and try ur best. as far as specific requirements go, i would recommend u go to their website and look for supporting documents though i think i remember that they reqired ecfmg certification.
