Hi everyone..
I failed second time my step 1 and totally confused what to do now.. I studied FA, Goljan review of pathology, I did Q bank, Usmle world and little score95 questions. and still nothing.. I miss only 1 point this time (July 2008) and for me these questions on real exam weren't so hard.. I was pretty sure I pass it..
I don't know what to do now..
Do you know somebody who failed couple times and got residency program..
I'm thinking only about family medicine but I'm afraid I don't have chance..

Don't worry... I failed 3 times and planing to take 4th... I don't know nobody who got residency with multiple attempts, I just know two people who got there residency in obgyn with scores 82-86(but usually for obgyn it should be higher), so nobody knows... I asked the same question " Do I have a chance?..." on this forum, when I got my score and I failed again.
So, study again and take the step again.

Thank you it is hard to stay optimistic more..
I'm IMG. I can communicate with English easily so I don't know if this is language problem.. I have been studying for more than 1 year.. 6 months of really hard study..
Americans do it better and most of them pass the exams in summer time? so it's harder then to get higher scores? I heard something like that..

I'm in the same boat, there are spots unfilled every year, just may have to rank those high, I don't care, IM or FP is what I want I think I can get it with 3 times.
I thought I was ready too, but I found my attention deficit and anxiety has messed me up too, so now I'm pushing myself to do the videos and the questions I thought I didn't need, LOL yes I do its my fault and I'm going to fix this, I have to.
DO not loose heart. We will pass this sucker together!

Can we please just stick to one thread? for example the thread with 3 attempts.
three, four, five...etc attempts are the same...If we just read one thread with more than two attempts is enough. Thanks

Wow! It is not the same 2 attempts, 3 or 10 The author has not an idea that we have the thread...I think now he/she knows
