hey guys just a query...
i send my documents on 22 and they reached eras on 25th..now oasis shows all documents including LORS but the ADTS on myeras shows only the MSPE and Transcript in the post office.... when will the LORS show up..?? is it only after applying.... i am a little confused.. could some one make it clear for me.....

how do we 'finalise' lor..??? do we have to do it now...or in september..???

My Understanding and What I did was: Finalsing the Lor when I sent them to ECFMG. Once the lor is finalised they will appear in ADTS.

thanx prusiner..i too did assign them to specialities when i sent it. how can we finalise it before applying and is that the way they appear on myeras post office..??
rephrasing... as of today...what are the document names visible on myeras post office ....??
i c MSPE and TRANSCRIPT.....
not LORS.. tho i have assigned specialities to them.... what more do i have to do for them to be enlisted in the post office....??

There's a option for finalizing. i clikced on that. when my first LOR writer had sent in the letter i had not fibnalized it. So it appeared in ECFMG but not in ADTS. Then once I finalized my letter it appeared in ADTS with in a couple of days.
PS: I am little vary of advising about eras and stuff. Its quite complex and somewhat confusing. so you may want to wait for a few more opinions. but this is what i did

Ok here it is;
1. go to the documents section in MyEras
2. Select Letters of Recommendation
3. If you have not already designated your LOR writers then do that now.
4. once you designate the writers you have an option to select the box to the left of their names.
5. once you select the letter writers you want to finalize go down the page and enter you password and then click the button Finalize present below it

I have a doubt. After we have finalised the LOR in myeras do we have the freedom to assign the LOR to a specific program or not , since we have already entered the speciality in the LOR cover sheet. Also should we finalise all the LOR'S . Kindly help me.

Hey,
We do have the right to assign the lors to programs of our choice.
I guess you will have to finalize all lors at some point bfore you apply. only after u finalize will it appear in the ADTS

hey please help , I am still not clear, I can select the programs now, assign lors which are finalised, to the programs, but still I am waiting for 1 more lor to reach eras,,so can I finalise and assign that later to the same program ...suppose i assign 3 now and 4th one can I do later when it reaches? sorry if am sounding dumb...

yeah u can assign anytime till the date u apply and even after that the 4th lor can be assigned..(as long as u assign the minimum number needed to complete the application now)

I am just a bit confused till now. So we have to finalize the LORs now, for them to be shown on ADTS.
After that, when we are assigning LORs to programs we should pick and choose the letter that we have to assign. Is this right or am I messing this up?
