Although the 2 cytotoxic drugs most communly used for immunosuppression are cyclophosphamide and azathioprime, these have many toxic effects on tissues in the body. There are no less toxic alternatives that are products from bacteria and fungis, including cyclosporin A and tacrolimus, used to treat transplant patients.each binds to a different group of immunophilins, or peptidil-prodyl isomerases. The immunophilin: drug complexes bind and inhibit the serine/threonine phosphatase called: A- Calcineurin B- Concanavalin A C- Chlorambucil D- Urease E- Caspase
