 Uuuuhhhh, I passed. Finally Iī m relivied. Iīm an IMG from Brazil, that took the Step 1 in late March. I received the score report and there it was: Pass, 86/211. Of course, iīs not a great score (Meg and others were spetacular), but Iīm pretty happy because I didnīt expect too much from my exam. The exam day to me was not a good one: I was so nervous and for this reason, I couldnīt get better. I even had imagined that I failed! Anyway, I passed!
I have only one question about this score: Is it a score thatīs enough to enter in Internal Medicine Program at an University Hospital?

i believe it is good enough for Im in university.. but also many many other factors play crucial roles in the application and interviews processes, as u may well know.

Hi, Guys!!!!
I have studied since March 2003, so nearly one year preparation, studying at least 2 hours/day (in weekends, almost 8 hours). I have studied in very good books: HY series (read two times), UCV series, FA (read four times), BRS pathology (read two times), BRS physiology, Micro ridiculously simple, Lippincott pharmacology, Lippincott biochemistry, Levinson board review (only Immnunology part, read two times). My scores in test questions were:
--Kaplan qBank: 72%
--NMS: 67%
--Blackwell: 72%
--Prometric USMLE sample test (CD): 41, 36, 42 correct questions.
I could have a higher score if I wasnīt so nervous during my exam. I have never experiencied such problem. I even had tremors during it!
So I advise you to do not panic and feel confident. It is a very important to key in the success of the exam.
There a lot of good materials (Kaplan live lectures, Kaplan notes, gojlan and audio and videos), but I canīt say anything about them because I heve never used (itīs a bit expensive and I am not a rich guy in Brazil).

Hey rod, I am also from brazil, You shoudnt have any problem getting into an internal medicine program. I know people from brazil there are here with a 83. What you should do is try to score higher in step 2 and also have a reccomendation letter from any university program in the us. Good luck!!! any questions, email me marinahorne@hotmail.com
