Which of the following measures help to prevent th progression of size of Aortic aneurysm?

1. Control of Hypertension

2.Control of diabetes

3.Control of hypercholesterolemia

4.Smoking cessation

5.Alcohol cessation

I think to control the size it´s hypercholesterolemia, to control rupture it might be hypertension (two different risk factors), ummm....
Not sure though...

Answer is smoking cessation is the intervention with the greatest likelihood of slowing progression of AAA

many of these factors might contribute to the progression of AAA size but among these, only smoking cessation has been proved statistically significantly associated with AAA size. Interesting.

My rule of thumb for most effective preventive measure [unless I have specifically memorized differently] is always smoking cessation. That's what Crush taught me.
