Guys, I receive my score and it s 225/94.. Let me tell u who I am. I m an average student that studied in a university with a poor academic level.
My native languages are Creole and French, I learnt medicine in Spanish , and actually I gave this exam in English. So u can easily imagine how difficult exam prep was. If I can do it guys, despite all obstacles u can do it. Now, it s your time to give your best.
Before writing about my prep, let me give great thanks to my Lord, Jesus,my family, to my wife,my best friend Ben, doc clotaire,prep4usmle,NNL,GG, Aashi,milee99,sigh,WaqasQureshi,P4a99,Tiff,Angel23,GOGETA,lakshya_0_7,hotti e99,silver,ShweHope99.9998
Now, here is what I did during 2 years of prep. Actually, I seriously prepare my self for this exam during the last 6 months.
Books that I used:
1) Kaplan LN except patho,Kaplan videos, Webprep.
2) Rapid Review pathology (Goljan) , Goljan Audio (more than 6 times), BRS patho
3) MMRS, Kaplan Flow Charts/Clue Sheets at the end of book of Micro.
4) BRS physio
5) First Aid ( many times)
I did a bunch Questions from ( I think the best way to prepare the exam is by doing a lot, a lot, a lot , a lot of questions)
1) Qbook,Qbank (online) 63 %, Integrated Clinical Vignettes (few questions),Physio qbank from Kaplan
2) UW online ( I started to use it early in my prep),UW self assessment----500
3) Review of pathology (Robbins)
4) First Aid Q and A and USMLErx (only 1200Q)
5) Few questions from BSS, NMS and Pre-test.
6) NBME 1--------470
7) NBME 2 -------500
8) NBME 5-------480
( Don t forget that I ve been doing those questions over a period of 2 years but if u have only 6 months just focus on UW plus Kaplan Qbank)
My exam:
Pathology was heavily tested. If u want to do great in patho, Study Rapid review pathology very well and Goljan Audio.
Micro, immune and pharma were heavily tested also.
Behavioral Science: I had many questions.(defense mechanism, statistics).
Anatomy: many questions from neuroanatomy. A lot of images.In my exam, for instance they describe a patient with Wernicke Korsakoff and they asked me to identify what part of the brain is damaged.
Biochem: Few questions.
Things that help me more in my prep:
Kaplan LN, Goljan (RR and Audio), First Aid, UW and Kaplan Qbank.

AD, USMLErx questions definitely help but are easier than the real thing. I think it s better focus on UW Qbank during last month of prep.
