The LOR guidelines mention that it should be from a physician who has seen your work etc! I am currently working with an immunologist, a PhD. Can I take his LOR or not?? bbb and others, PLEASE HELP!

If it's gonna be PhD holder/professor, especially working in some academia setting, why not?

However, in this case he should judge you as scientist/researcher, not physician.

yes justice, he would discuss academic/ scientist qualities etc, but he can also write about communication, leadership etc. Am I right? However, why does the website mention that the writer must be a physician. that made me confused. Has anyone in this forum attached a letter from a Non-Physician?

I guess the point of the ERAS website is to make sure that you don't ask your friends to write a letter for you, how great you are, how much beer can consume overnight, etc... PhD letter writer should talk widely about you... Leadership: what's your position in the lab? If it's not higher than postdoc, I would not stress this point out. If you hold a position of researcher (assist/assoc/full) then you for sure have students to mentor. That's how you show your leadership. Otherwise - just dominate among co-workers. This world has strict definitions...

yep... a letter from person in position to comment on your skills should be acceptable.
