Cystic fibrosis -> Chronic Steatorrhea - what among the 3 options below is the effect on serum calcium 1) Vit.D def -> Dec Ca -> Inc PTH 2) Mg def -> Dec PTH -> Dec Ca 3) Acidosis -> Dec Ca binding to Albumin -> Inc ionized Ca what do you think?

From what I know all the 3 could be correct. But I suspect some compensatory changes occur in 2 out of 3 and finally one will prevail. All three could not occur at the same time because its obviously contradictory. I mean the PTH and Ca levels are different in all the three cases. Can someone with an idea of the compensatory changes shed some light on this, please.

Cystic fibrosis -> Chronic Steatorrhea . dat means def of fat sol vit. ie vit D. so i would go wid A.
