From the CDC:

"start getting regular Pap tests at age 21, or within three years of the first time you have sex—which ever happens first. "

http://www.cdc.gov/cancer/cervical/basic_info/scr...

***note that it's "WITHIN" 3 years of first sexual activity NOT "AFTER" 3 years.

So for example if she becomes sexually active at the age of 17, it would be best to get a PAP anytime by the age of 20. (within 3 years)... (She doesn't have to wait till after 3 years have passed to get a PAP).

You See a patient in-the clinic who-is sexually active at whatever age & has never had a Pap, offer it immediately. You shouldn't wait for 3 years to do that.

Never had sex _ start at age 21 annually or q2y if liquid based till age 30 Then q2y if by PAP alone, q3y if PAP-HPVDNA. Source is American Cancer Society

Sexual Hx unreliable, start screening @ 18 instead of 21. Exam considers us to be good history takers so answer is D
