can somebody explain why there is secondary hyperaldosteronism in liver cirrhosis?

In cirrhosis we have alterations in the oncotic pressures due to the loss of proteins which in turn leads to decreased cardiac output which leads to the activation of Renin-Angiotensin-Aldosterone axis and causes retention of water and Na. Which leads to the Sec. HyperAldosteronism. Plus Liver cant metabolise the aldosterone in the circulation.

its due to less metabolism of aldosterone giving hyper state in cirrhosis, besides release due to hypovolemic state stimulating RAAS.
