i felt the exam was extremely difficult, and i actually thought it was a lot harder than UW. but by the grace of God i passed, so i am relieved. i'm amazed that you sat through all 7 blocks without much of a break. well, miracles do happen because i honestly thought i failed, and when i got my score i was actually scrolling down the screen to see how badly i had done. as for you, right now it's over, so relax for a while...you've earned the break. good luck to u! i'm sure you did much much better than you think...and a lot of ppl on this forum say that when u feel like you've failed, you actually passed

Yes I felt like it was in a strange new language and I failed, I do not know why they are allowed to ask such things in a such a strange way

You didn't feel hungry, thirsty or the need to go to bathroom? Pretty amazing. Anyway, good luck for the result.

this is partially because i am a medical oncologist (since 5\2008) and i used to find that things go bad with time going on and used to work for 6 continous hours daily( from 9am to 3pm)

if you finished the exam without so much of a break, you must have TREMENDOUS mental (and physical!) stamina. i took advantage of all 45 minutes of breaktime and divided it in between blocks to recharge. for that feat alone, congratulations memomeno the paper printout after the step 1 exam says the results will come out in 6 weeks. does it really take that long? (i just took my exam 3 days ago!) such agony! tell me how you did, memomeno. good luck to us!

Yes sir! I felt the same way you did... Through my exam, I remember being afraid of answering many questions, not because of fear of being wrong, but as I took the mouse to click on the next button, I could feal the fear of the upcoming unknown dark question... I wanted it to end as soon as possible... I took some 2-3 min between every block, but in the last one I just went to the bathroom, fooled around for almost half an hour until I remembered i had to go and finish the, as you well described, tragedy... I ended up with a 229/95 after weeks, and weeks of frustration and pep talk that it didn't matter that I had failed... I really thought I did... I just felt like the things I had learned, were not the ones being tested... I felt like someone would tell me hey, learn the multiplication tables from 1-10 and the day of the exam they ask you to multiply some strange 3 cypher numbers... well, something like that... Good luck!! God will give you, not the score you want, but the one you need for your intended residency... that's all I asked for in my prayers, the score I needed for the residency program in my path!! Take care!
