hi i am planning to apply for 2009 match.
is it mandatory that my 3 LoR should reach ERAS-ECFMG by august 1 itself. shocked

i am planning to send 2 LoR by end of august bcoz i will be getting LoR from usa referees by end of august only.so far i got only one which i already finalised in ERAS website.

no its fine...just check the ecfmg updates....they are 4 days behind...
so better to send them your lors by august 3rd week...to be updated before sept1st

yeah..........even if after......it probably will work becoz a lot of the programs start uploadin n lookin at stuff 2-3 weeks after 1st of sept.............dats wot im plannin on doin as well...........g'luk

Does anyone have already any LoR uploaded in ERAS? How long does it take after ECFMG receives our documents to be scanned and uploaded? they say it is 3 to 4 weeks but how the real experience is?

i hav asked some one abt same issue....according to him although his lor r not scanned and uploaded ...rest of documents hav taken a week

HI Ivonne! Just checked ADTS today and I can see all 4 of my LORs in myERAS post office. The documents were received (according to verify receipt site) July 11th and 17th.

I am still waiting for my medical school transcript and photograph to appear in myDocuments. Is there normally a lag when it comes to these 2 documents.

I'm going back to my home country in a few days to get 2 more LORs, hoping to send those my mid-August so I can still send it to the programs come September 1st.

It seems like my LoR writers have a delay.
So I will be sending them later than I thought I would. I just think, it is, what it is. No matter how much time it takes ecfmg, I WILL definitely apply!
Good luck to everybody with this paper stuff, hate it.... disapproval

Good for you xthine. Do you think that your new LoRs that you will send by mid-August will be available by Sep 1st?

Yeah, i know it is a pain in the neck not only for us but also for the LoR writters. Yesterday, I sent a desperate e mail grin

to one of the attendings to update the document and luckily i got an answer.

Be patient but at the same time send them kindly reminders...

Hi Ivonne! Based on the first batch of LORs that I sent to ERAS, it takes 10 days upon receipt before it appears in myDocuments . I guess (and I hope) as long as the documents get to ERAS approximately 10 days before September 1st, then it will be ready for the programs for download once application opens.
