Hi
Is it too late to apply with a good step 3 score around september 9/10 ..
i need timefor step 3 one week more than i planned so result will be out on sep 9 or 10
Please let me know if this sep 1 thing is just a myth!!

It is a myth, and you can safely apply at the middle-end of September.

just wondering..cant u appply on sep 1 anyways and let the step 3 score be transmitted once its out..why wait for step 3 scores before applying...?

Yeah but what about CAF , it will be submitted for the whole season!! thats y..
i have CSA attempt, may be a good step 3 score makes up for it before the programs discard application.

ok.i was just wondering.. i thot scores would be automatically updated on my eras if u choose so....

there is no harm in applying up to mid september tho..

I think the same as Ganesha, apply on sep 1 , then you dont even have to choose the automatic update(Incase you are unsure about how your step 3 scores will be) and you can manually release your step 3 score(in USMLE transcript again). Please someone correct me if I am wrong

Remember that AMGs do not bother themselves to apply on Sep 1, only psychotic IMGs push the button on 12 am of Sep 1... If your story was true, then only IMGs would match...

What it could mean is that only those applications that are on the surface (most recently submitted, not those that came on sep 1) have a chance to be reviewed.

Is this really true? If yes, it gives me much hope, coz it looks like I'll only be 'perfectly ready' by mid-Sep or so.

I did not even pretend to attack you or anyone who is concerned about residency application on Sep 1. And I am sorry if it happened to look so. You know that uncertainty can destroy any sound plan. And rumors aren't helpful in this regard.

i guess it comes with the stressful times.. we all r under tremendous pressure... what i wrote came from what people say after each match..people come up with million explanations as to why they think they matched or not..its like urban legend.. 
most of the stuff written on forums is just based on experiences....!!!! we need to read them and make out own decisions....
i will still delete the post since u think its misleading... you are a kind soul and i value ur opinion justice...
