As a residency coordinator who receives these emails, my answer is going to be completely different. All you need to ask is:
I am interested in applying for your internal medicine residency program. Could you please send me your requirements?

You don't need to ask a ton of questions, you don't need to prove that you are worthy. This email comes to me, I answer, it gets deleted. If you need to ask further questions that are not answered in the response or on the web page, then you certainly can ask them in the future. Do not say that you found my program on-line and are interested in applying - then ask me all the questions that are answered on my hospital web page.
Keep it short and sweet.
