OK, me is first:
1. Rep, how can I select all flagged programs and get rid of unflagged? Not permanently, of course, because I will revise the list again and again, considering the upcoming updates.
2. I registered in MAR with my gmail email account and a nickname. I wanted to contact programs using the link given in the list. So, what name will appear at program coordinator/director mailbox? Your (i.e. MAR/rep) or mine (gmail/Justice)?

Hi Does externship in a non teaching hospital in US counts as USCE?Also the USCE tab doesnt ask how many months of USCE.So does it make a difference ,if USCE is 1.5 month or 2 months or 3 months?Or All candidates regardless of details of USCE are considered equal?[teaching vs nonteaching, number of months >3 or< 3 months]Thanks

1. We do not yet have an option to separte flagged from unflagged but that is something we will add to the suggestions list.
2. The email you send comes from you (Justice Gmail) and reponses will be back to you as well not MAR.

Dear doctors,
We can indeed make the list to narrow down as much as possible asking more and more details but that we take a risk of removing some programs that maybe potential. When we call the program and ask them about USCE they may answer yes or no or they may answer yes and give the number of months. Foe those programs that gave us the duration we will post it in the additional comments section for you to see but we do not FORCE the program to tell us because they may end up making up an answer (specially when force ask about USMLE attempts). We believe that anything other than the 5 questions we ask in the registration page actually will hurt your list than help it. All additional requirement we add to the "additional comments" section for you to make a decision.
Our goal is to narrow your search but you must put one small effort in making the best decision and it has worked very well within the past 4 years. We lead the customized residency list market and we know what is needed.
The additional comments section has more than usmle attempts and ECFMG certification for interview it has some unusual requirements. for example, there is one program that requires you to OWN A CAR in order to apply to their programs.
Now as far as observership and those programs that accept it as USCE we point it out in the additional comments section and you most likely to be able to see it in the IMG friendly list, but not in the customized since the customized list has eliminated all the program that requires USCE (an the majority do not consider observership). The IMG friendly list we give free for you to see but it does not match your credentials (simply IMG friendly).

I think matcharesident has not updated all the information for 2009 match. Check the untiversity of Tennase IM program requirements. They say minimum 86 in both steps and matcharesident shows 85. I don't know how many other mistakes do they have already. I am not satisfied with this service. What's the meaning of buying a program list if it is not updated and current?

i have graduated 4 yrs back...and i dono fit into university of colorado becoz they hav 3 yrs graduation cut off according to their programme coordinator..
while accoring to match a resident i fit into their criteria

Hey Sadiq, how do you count your graduation gap? I mean suppose, if I have graduated on October, 2006 (the date when I completed my compulsory one year rotating internship), got my medical diploma on september, 2007 and applying for match 2009 on 1st september, 2008, then how will you count the graduation gap in my case?

Even though MatchAResident guarantees you 100% updated list by the time you start your residency application submission (september 1st), it can not guarantee you an exact 100% accuracy since this program may have provided us with slight different criteria (residency innacuracy). Do not use program websites for verification and instead call if you are using the list for verification. There is no 100% accurate list but you want to have a reliable overall list that can give you results.
Even if you devote your own time for a whole month gathering information you can never get 100% accurate list only because you can not gauarantee that the information given by the program coordinator is accuarate to begin with.
We go through 3 phase verification in the following order:
Program direct input
Email verfication
Phone call verification
As a last resort we compare the program website only if they display the "Last updated" time stamp in their webiste where the criteria appears.
Also remember that you can never guarantee that you are talking to the right person even if you have asked for the program coordiantor who knows most.
