Hi everyone!! I'm planning on applying to a couple of Pediatrics programs myself. I was wondering if anyone has a link to the REJECTIONS thread for Peds? I noticed a number of Interviews threads, some Interview/rejections (still only few mention which programs gave rejections) ..I'm really looking for the REJECTIONS thread because i'm trying to shorten my existing list of 40 Peds programs.

just a thought...if ur planning to not apply to prog based on the fact that they rejected someone else, Dont do that...just cause a prog rejects someone doesnt mean u will be rejected too....and 40 prog is a decent number to apply to

Thanks for the tip Mukho I was deleting programs from my list based on my premise that if they reject applicants with scores in the 90s..then it's likely that they won't consider offering an interview to a mediocre applicant like me Does it make any difference to Pediatrics PDs if an IMG has passed Step 3?

I just noticed in my experience scores arent the only thing that counts...i had good scores but didnt get called to a lot of programs which invited my friends with much lower scores than me because of varied reasons from visa status, UK experience, fresh grad, research exp...and mostly idiopathic!! one never knows what someone else wants right?! Being step 3 cleared matters to prog tht will offer u a h1b as they need u to pass that before knowing for sure u will b eligible...this point hold true therefore more so for prematch offers also ...but as long as u are cleared before rank order submission date i dont think it matters in terms of getting IV unless u aced the exam...but getting it out of the way is a huge relief ... GL and keep the faith

Mukho..I'll be applying with Step 3 scores in hand so hopefully that helps in some way. Thank you again for the reply and given what you've said, I now have a better idea on how to finalize my list (which is now down to just 28 peds programs. Don't wanna sell myself short so I will probably add a few more before September 2nd.

To ksandeeps, Sorry dude but am not married yet so cant tell you much about couples matching. But if you guys have previous experience in your respected fields you have a higher chance of matching. As for IMG friendly lists, the best thing to do is check out MAR (matcharesident.com) or find someone who has similar credentials as you and swipe that person's list Sorry I am not much help but dont know about the visa issue in detail so can't help you there. And a good number of programs to apply to depends alot on your CV. I am applying to at least 70 programs.
