Alright guys i just finished my exam... Finally took it... overall easier then UW... First aid covers everything if u got down the concepts from kaplan and UW... questions are straightforward and basic.. not as diffucult choices as UW... the options are not difficult to seperate ... some reason i got 4 questions on C. Jejuni so make sure to knwo that inside and out... i got a lot of ANS, a lot of pharmacology(MECHANISM and SIDE EFFECT thats all they care about)... 1 question on treatment of CML ... a LOT OF PATENT ductus arteriousus ... my MEDIA question was a patent ductus... a lot of images they like the ARTERIAL supply of the abdomen ... and for anatomy general stuff same as wat everyone says... carpal tunnel, brachial plexus injury, innervation of the toes... the single best thing that helped me was taking a 2 days break before my exam(a mistake a lot of people made).. i went to the exam with a fully functional mind.. and im pretty sure if u know first aid ull do amazing.. and if u can average 66% on USMLEWORLD ur golden ... i got a lot of pictures that goljan got DOWN in his lectures... like POTTERS facies.. make sure to do the goljan slide.. im just waiting on my score now ... im just glad its done... TIME TO PARTY... oh and I BROUGHT a lot of m and m's and MANDARIN oranges to the test center.. with the M and M's u can put it in ur mouth and let the chocolate slowly spike ur blood glucose while ur in the test center ... definetly good for the brain it NEEDS A LOT OF ENERGY!

LoL thanks guys.. appreciate the gestures... but i know this is obvious ... just read peoples comments on here especially the link on the ERRORS people made in studying for step 1... make sure u dont make those errors urself... and read everything u need to know about the test center so when u get into the test center there will not be any surprises... for me I felt comfortable because the test felt like FA and Goljan, and the INTERFACE is IDENTICAL to UW(the lab value menu was different)... if u guys dont know how to already ... when u do questions have a systematic way of dealing with every question... if u see a question 5 lines long or longer then skip to the last line... if u see a graph(obviously look at the axis first) read the stem and then approach the curve/ line they are trying to present... MASTER EVERY GRAPHH in first aid... the exam loves testing u with questions via GRAPHICAL data... any question that u feel will take greater then 30 seconds to find a response SKIP IT and save it for the end... i read the KAPLAN Qbook about exam questions(read this section it is very helpful)... read it at the beginning of ur studies and 1 more time before ur exam(i read it on the same day ) ... the most important point i got out of it was learning how TO PARAPHRASE(read about it ull see what im talkin about- it saves ur brain space to think and helps u come up with the diagnosis quicker) learn to identify ur weakness... target it and stop wasting ur time on material that u know
