I failed step 1, i know that i still have to take step 2 and 3 in the future. i spent a lot of time preparing for step 1 already. so i am just wondering how is step 2 and 3 comparing to step 1?
do people also have to spend a lot of time preparing for that? do most people take courses for step 2 and 3?

Step 2 CK is easier than Step 1 but Step 1 is easier than Step 3. Step 2 CS is the easiest as long as you speak and act nicely. Don't give up, it's just a failure but not the end that's why attempts exist, people use them, move on and match or even prematch. Good luck buddy, just be strong.

i spent about 4months for step 1...........2 m for step 2 ck.........15days for step2 cs...........n bout 1 n a half month for step3..............i found that step 1 stuff helped me in step 2ck..........n step stuff helps with step 3...........so if u can give with small gaps in between it will really help..........dats my take on it....hope it helps
