I've come across certain programs participating in ERAS that are requesting additional documents that are not generally transmitted through ERAS. How would one go about sending them. For example:

1)A copy of your medical school diploma
2)A copy of the front and back of USMLE steps 1,2, and 3 (or COMLEX, if applicable)
3)A copy of your ECFMG certificate, if applicable
4)Proof of citizenship

These are additional documents required by Maimonides Medical Center Program. I asked the PC as to how one would go about transmitting them and she told me to scan and upload them into my ERAS application.

Is that even an option on my ERAS or OASIS ?????????

Generally the programs just require the following.

1) MSPE
2) CV
3) USMLE transcript
4) LORs
5) Photo

These are also the documents that ERAS transmits to the programs.
You have to click on the website (link is usually on FREIDA) and then look it up.

Now.........can someone answer my Q??????

i dont believe one can scan documents of choice on ERAS. ERAS sends standard documents MSPE, photo, transcript, LORs. You can sure scan and email the exra docs to the PC...

"you can scan them, and upload through ERAS. that's the best way."

A bit off topic but Maimonides does not sponsor visas right? I am assuming they don't since they require proof of US citizenship.

they most probably don't sponsor visas. the attachment they sent did not have anything in it about visas.
