I am reading through my Kaplan Biochem book on gene regulation and feel like it's just not sinking in. I revised and rewrote stuff like operon expression so I could truly understand it but have hit a roadblock of sorts. Once I get to enhancers and transcription factors it all goes blurry and I don't even know how to teach it to myself. I might as well be reading Greek. So how much detail do we have to know on these finer points?

that happened to me too
i decided to open FA and only concentrate on the topics mentioned in FA.
i read everything but the ones in FA i make sure i know them well...
