Can anyone comment on USMLE Transcript, how old record is maintained of failed attempts?

Nobody knows how old records are maintained. USMLE transcript is a history of your relations with ECFMG/USMLE before you got certified and licensed. Whatever happened to you along this way, including number of attempts, is on that map.

hi guys,
do we always HAVE TO get usmle transcripts for residency application?is it mandatory?what is the way to get it and what is usually all applicants do regarding usmle transcripts?...I just completed CAF and sent LORs...will work on PS after couple of weeks because currently preparing for CK...what else do I need(of course beside credit card )to apply?...please anyone complete my application if its not...thanks and good luck to you all...

i emailed eras about usmle transcript, they said do not, I REPEAT DO NOT send usmle transcripts to ERAS bc they will release it based on if u checkd the box for them to release it (either automatically or manually u assign to programs).. they said it is all done online, u just have to make sure when u apply to the programs, u assign ur usmle transcript to each program.. and if u will be awaiting an exam score (like i will be awaiting my step 3 score so i selected manual assign to programs in case if i fail, which im not planning to but just in case!) then u can select automatically, which they will just email everyone that ur new score came in at the sametime u find out u got u score (so if u ar eto fail, they find out too) or manually where u have control to release that score to them or not (so if u failed, u dont have to release, tho i dont see the point being they will eventually see the score, so maybe this option is better for step 3 since ck is usually requred to have prior to rank order list, hmm) hope this helps!! best of luck!
