Nothing against you flip but one thing I don't like in this profession is when accronyms are used. What is MDP????????

Thnx peekay!

I was under the impression that:
Diastolic P was a function of the blood V and venous tone
Systolic P was a function of the TPR, Heart Rate, Heart Force, and Ejection time.

I think digitalis is a positive ionotropic substance  it will work in the heart by increasing the contractions of the heart. It also can decrease contractions via CN10.
But I don't think it has any direct effect on the veins......unless maybe when working via CN 10, the amount of blood that gushes into the systemic vessels is decreased/minute :arrow:decrease in blood V  decrease in MDP :? :?

p.s. this is just my thinking, so I could be wrong.
