Actually me, neither. I don't know how this function at all. I thought maybe we can just post how many pages, chapters we have done...Or we can study sam esubject and discuss for each chapter what is important, or maybe less important...
I am finishing IM from kaplan notes, going into neurology (but I have bought some kind of Rapid Review for neurology last year, and read it until I got tired..) Now that I am starting seriously I know better shorter version, so I believe Kaplan notes woul be enough.
So, did you do questions at all?
I was thinking to start doing some questions, and by the end of this month I plan do revise all IM, and mix with questions....As I heard IM is most important topic.
So, how about surgery? What will you use?
So, this way somehow I meant to discuss the progress....
What did you start and what do you use?
I work full time so it is hard to have more than 4 hours a day :-( for USMLE

hi! can i join? although my exam is on october and not on nov. im finish with psych, im now finishing IM. but i stopped that and jump to derma. im doing UW, five questions timed just to asses if i retain something from reading. five questions on the topic that i finished that day and five questions mixed on all topics i finished. timed coz i want to learn the craft of answering loooong questions. sometimes i would make it 10 or 15 questions timed. i also have a 6-years old daughter who bothers me every now and then so i cant do a 46 questions. ill do that a month before my exam, also school starts at that time so ill have time to do that.

I'm also willing to have the exam on October. it would be nice if we manage to discuss important things and review it.
i'm also willing to depend on kaplan lecture notes as my mainstay.

Does anybody have exam in California?
Also, I have a question about UW questions. did you all pay for them already and got passwords? I thought about paying for it three months before actual date? Maybe that is to late. Can anyone advice me on that?

Hello there,
there is a kaplan q book and there is online q bank. i read ob/gyn on kaplan lec notes once and did the question on kaplan q book i answered 80% correctly but i think the book is very easy.
i will be reading surgery on kaplan lec. notes
regarding UW i was thinking to do it after fininshing first reading for all materials on kaplan lec notes...till now i did not pay ?and i was thinking to do UW for one month...is this a short period ?

It depends on you, I am goinmg to pay for three months, so I feel a little bit more confident about it, if I take only one month, I might regret later and blame my selfish being for not paying for more...This is money draining game, too....I don't like gyn-ob but I will make myself sit and read that book....Ughhh....I am waiting for my book to come,ordered Kaplan Q book few days ago...and then will start with IM questions...People say that IM is most important. Good luck!!!

Hi All,
can I join too? actually, I'll take my exam later-December maybe, and I am just starting to study, and I wonder if it is enough like 5 months. I also work from 9am-5pm(research)..,and it's tough to find motivation when you come back tired. So, I wonder if kaplan books are enough, or what is the best strategy for step2.
