DO we look for JVD with patient lying or at an inclination of 45 deg.. i mean during PE.
do we have to adjust the bed inclination too?

Hi,
put patient in 45° lying position and ask him to turn his head to the side. On the exposed neck you can look for pulsations or filling of the jugular vein.
Hopefully none of the SP has JVD, otherwise you would have to measure the JVD how far it goes up!
Good luck!
