@LUCKYCHARM-I am answering here so others with same q can benifit too.
I did have all those 3 books.[secrets,crush,bd and wards]..but I never felt the need to mess with the time tested strategy of Kaplan Ln+uw,also my prep time was too short[35 days]so was not possible to do those books either.......goljan not needed for step2.I used kaplan q book to gain confidence and it also covers some topics not given in kaplan LN.
THE REAL KEY IS HARD WORK IN THE CORRECT DIRECTION -->THAT DIRECTION IS SHOWN TO US BY UW+KAPLAN

Hey Dr_Puma gr8 exp, many thanks, just one quick question where did you write your notes from usmle world separate notebook or Kaplan LN or Med essentials or Crush step 2. Moreover do we need Crush or Med essentials ( I personally like to keep books to minimum)

UW notes-->on a separate note book.
I did have those books but never even felt the need to open them as had my hands full with kap ln +uw+did kap q book once.

If time is too short ...one strategy for good score is to leave all aside and just do UW quest....they cover all theory likely to b on exam.

hi dr puma i just need an advice i have done uworld really well n have taken notes with it too i am taking nbme 1 on 7th what wud u suugest that should i revise kaplan before that or do my uworld notes?

uw notes r to b preferred..............after that if u have time then just scan the topics (from kaplan MED,Surg,OG......can leave peds kaplan out,UW Enough 4 Peds )that u by now know are imp/highyield/a bit difficult to remember.

sources
kap LN--all subjects-once in detail and 2 times in last 20 days
UW---had 2 mnth subscription but did all q in last 35 days only...made the difference....[font color="#ff0000"].arletes tip on how to do it was helpful in the end
nothing else [/font]
can u plz tell me wt is the arletes tip..........coz i m doing doing u world now a days,,,and want to finish as soon as possible but offcourse with full gain of knowledge from it....(as i m taking it as learning tool),,,,plz tell me??

ok make tests in uw using only q u have marked and those u got wrong.......simple...no need to revise q u did correctly........this is tip for u if time is short.
