there is no discrimination on age (or they say they dont, nor on race, creed, color, etc...) so if u want to do this, then u have just push thru that and not think about it, i know somoene older than that doing residency, so it's not impossibl, u just gotta sell urself!! best of luck!

38 is not too bad. > 45 is a little bit tough. One of my husband's former coworkers is an FMG, > 45, and had a hard time getting Matched (he said he would go anywhere if he got accepted). He got interviews though.

Exactly. The person I mentioned graduated long time ago. So his chance wasn't very good.

oh no! Better stop now?!? I am 44 graduated in 1990 and last experience was in 1994 after a 2 year radiology residency overseas..I stopped and raised my 3 boys while my husband went on to build his practice...Never thought I would go back ...But there is a small training hospital here where I am thinking my husband could help get me in...It is so hard to get any studying done with 3 kids (youngest is 3 and sent him to school so I can have some time) so its taking me longer than even I thought it would...I AM 44 but I could pass as 38..is that good enought? lol
