Did you use it yourself ? I also consider it one of the reliable ones but not 100 % sure. I wanted to confirm it with some one who actually used it.

Which one is better -matcharesident or img-interactive, for those who don't require visa? I also found residencyplace.com attractive and full of detailed info. Which one would you recommend from these 3 services? Finally, which one covers the most info about all scores, visas, attempts, ECFMG certificate and stuff? Secondly, if we want to get access to info of as many programs as possible even if we don't qualify, how can we customize the list? Should we broden our criteria of scores and everything to include as many programs as possible?

I guess this is a sample review, not the real one... What's the point to give you info before you paid?

Two issues to discuss here: 1. Attempts should not be part of the filter. If it is then the list will not be accurate. 2. Yes, Match A Resident accepts you to register with one score. The question about attempts and why Match A Resident does not consider in the engine. When we started in 2004 we had the attempts added to become part of the filter, but the following year we removed it and added it to a separate section under the program view for a reason. Residency programs do not have strictly set requirements for attempts. They look at the overall picture before they give you an answer. If you call a residency program and ask them about attempts they never give you a clear answer, then you wonder did they mean they prefer first attempt or they really have a strict one attempt rule. You are never sure. For that reason we decided to add a section called "Additional comments" and there you will see if the program strictly mentioned attempts or prefer it. Some program may tell you that you must pass within first attempt or have 2 years USCE, etc.. Now, as far as registering with one of your usmle scores here the details. Some program requires you to Have ECFMG Certification FOR INTERVIEW and to others won’t. We ask this question because we do know that some of you do not have one of their steps yet. Again, under the "Additional comments" section you will see that we almost have asked this question to every program. If you have only one step score you can register and then apply to only those who do not require the certificate for interview yet. When you have taken your other step and passed you can contact us and we will update your profile. Please let us know if you have any questions.

I'm considering paying for one list too. I've done my own research and just want one good list that I can use for cross referencing (make sure that I've covered all programs). Any feedback from other members? I am torn between match a resident and IMG-interactive.

ganesha123 wrote:well looks like everyone is going for these lists afterall...hmmm.. need to rethink now.. Well, I humbly agree with this your thought... I was quite negative in the beginning, but now I realize that using a list is a part of competition. And, most importantly, a way to apply wisely. The only people who would not benefit from the list are 99x3-ers, who have 1 year USCE + publications, and how are yet to graduate in 2008 The only qn is which service to use... I certainly will not use the one we discussed above (img interactive) - poor grammar and mistakes distracted me. I just can't give my CC number to ppl like them...
