Guys I will be in the NY area but all of the hotels I see are very expensive
1- Where to go in NY?
2= Romantic places to go?
3-Places that are cheap to go to
4-What city or place is near so the hotel is cheaper?
5- Besides NJ what other things can I go to see that are near NY?
6-ANYONE that would want to meet me is welcome to pm me.

You can consider the hotels in Queens (such as the ones near JFK).
Good places to go: Central Park, Metropolitan Museum, MOMA, Guggenheim Museum, Statue of Liberty, South St Seaport, Time Square, 5th Ave, Soho/Washington Square, Empire State Building, Rockfeller Center, Ground Zero/Wall St/China Town, the Bronx Zoo, Yankees/Shea stadium, the Cathedral Church, and Columbia Univ (my school!)
I like Broadway musicals. went to Hairspray last week and it was awesome. Classics like Phantom of the Opera and Rent are also pretty good. Mamma Mia, the Lion King and Wicked are sold-out shows but I haven't had a chance to watch them.
If you like shopping, Woodbury outlet mall is a great place (50 min ride by bus).
