What is the serum pH in vomitting and urine pH?

  #2

vomiting leads to metabolic alkalosis

so the kidney for restoring that will form alkaline urine

  #3

Vomitting causes metabolic alkalosis, true because of loss of HCl. But, according to FA _> there is a right shift causeing more Hco3- to be delivered to the DCT. This is either lost as K or Na salt. Volume contraction causes Na retention, K is being lost, but exchange with H+ => acid urine.

How about this - Metabolic Alkalosis - Hypoventilation - Respiratory acidosis - Increased CO2 leading to Increased Bicarbonate formation in PCT and excretion = Alkaline urine

Increased Bicarbonate formation simultaneously makes H+ which is absorbed into blood countering the alkalosis.
